Fun Guy Inspection & Consulting has
completed several mold inspections retail store on Melrose Ave. in Los
Angeles this week. Both retail buildings were built after 1950's and
experienced some water damage after the recent winter storms. Water
damage infiltrated a window seal on one building and entered through the
deteriorating roof on the other building. By this time both buildings
had visible signs of mold growth conditions present on their surfaces.

Black Mold -Lumber Mold Inspection
Can Black Mold on lumber appear to be a mold problem. Common to any piece of lumber on an
everyday construction site or a particular member attached to a building,
this mold has been known to grow on freshly timbered lumber. Moisture
drives the growth of these molds and fungi when the pieces of lumber are
stored together in a stack. FunGuy Tip:1 A common place to find black molds
within my home would within a Garage. Since the
lumber is exposed in these areas, you can readily see the black mold on the
surface of the lumber. No need to worry, this type of black lumber
mold will not grow unless the lumber is exposed to more moisture or water.
